read from the chains, not quoted · the median fee of real transfers, each with its transaction · read 19–20 Oct 2026
A plain transfer: one ordinary account sends the coin straight to another, the transaction succeeds, and it does nothing else. Left out, and counted by reason in each receipt: transfers made through smart wallets, relayers and other contracts, failed transactions, and anything that also swaps, bridges or pays out in batches. A transfer into a wallet that held none of the coin writes a new storage slot and costs more; those are first-time transfers, kept apart with their own figure.
Where a chain lets senders prepay their fees — staked or rented energy on Tron, a sponsor paying the gas — the figure is what a sender without any of that pays, and the receipt says how many senders paid less.
Every chain on which Tether issues USDT or Circle issues USDC itself, as their own pages list them (read 19 Oct 2026, re-read monthly), plus the fifteen chains holding the most stablecoins whatever the issuer, plus a few by decision. We read USDC where Circle issues it, USDT where only Tether does.
